We specialize in WASH for households, and building capacity for WASH practitioners. Ask us about:
Financing your program and organization
CAWST is dedicated to helping our network of clients overcome barriers to implementing successful water, sanitation and hygiene projects. Our primary focus is on barriers related to knowledge and skills. But we recognize that for many clients funding is one of their most significant barriers to implementation. CAWST does not fund projects, but we share funding opportunities available from other organizations.
Building capacity
Sharing knowledge and skills is key to the quality and sustainability of WASH programs. Our team is dedicated to building the capacity of WASH implementers. This includes program managers, technicians, trainers, and community promoters.
Creating demand for WASH programs, and encouraging long-term change
Behaviour change and continued use of technology in the household depends on the internal motivations and values of the users, and how they perceive the benefits offered by WASH programs. Creating demand at the outset of WASH implementation is key to achieving long-term change.
Selecting and supplying the right products and services
Choosing the most appropriate technology or design for your project will impact how effective and sustainable it is over time. Choosing the most appropriate implementation approach is an even bigger factor.
Monitoring for improvement
Effective monitoring systems gather information to help you improve the quality and sustainability of your programs.
